Step 1 |
Cut the following from construction paper and set aside: |
Step 2 |
Glue one of the black strips onto the white square for the bottom of the penguin. |
Step 3 |
Repeat Step 2 until you have reached the desired height of your penguin (about 12 - 13 strips). |
Step 4 |
Cut about a ½” [1.3 cm] from one black strip and glue to the top of the penguin body. |
Step 5 |
Cut about a 1” [2.5 cm] from one black strip and glue it next to the black strip in Step 4. |
Step 6 |
Cut one red strip into three pieces to make the red hat and glue in place. |
Step 7 |
Glue a white pom-pom to the top of the red hat. |
Step 8 |
Glue seven white strips, horizontally, down the middle of your penguin's body. |
Step 9 |
Cut the large part of the eyes and wings out of black strips and glue to your penguin's body. |
Step 10 |
Cut the small part of the eyes and the white piece on the hat from the white strip. Glue to the penguin. |
Step 11 |
Cut the feet and nose out of the orange strip and glue to your penguin's body. |
Step 12 |
Glue two red strips that fit across your penguin's neck, horizontally, for a scarf. |
Step 13 |
Cut two red strips for the hanging tails of your penguin's scarf. Cut the bottom of each strip at an angle, then glue to the scarf so they are hanging down from his neck. |
Step 14 |
Glue the sequins around your penguin to make it look like it’s snowing. |
Step 15 |
Glue the completed white penguin to the middle of the blue square so you have an even border around all sides. |
