Print Project

Step 1

MEASUREMENT: Approx 18” [45.5 cm] square.
GAUGE: 14 sts and 20 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stocking st.; take time to check your gauge.

Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:
FRONT
With MC, cast on 60 sts.
Rows 1 to 13: Beg and ending on a knit row, work in stocking st.
Row 14: (WS). *K10. P10. Rep from * to end of row. Break MC. Join A.
Row 15: With A, knit. Break A. Join MC.
Rows 16 to 28: With MC, beg and ending on a purl row, work in stocking st.
Row 29: (RS). *P10. K10. Rep from * to end of row. Break MC. Join A.
Row 30: With A, purl. Break A. Join MC.
Rep last 30 rows twice more.
Cast off.
BACK (make 2 alike)
With MC, cast on 60 sts,
Row 1: (RS). *K2. P2. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last row (K2. P2) ribbing 7 times more. 8 rows ribbing in total.
Beg on a knit row, proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 14" [35 cm], ending on a purl row. Cast off.
FINISHING
Overlap back pieces to match front, with ribbed sections in the middle to create opening to insert pillow form. Sew outer edge seams.
Fringe
Cut strands of MC 6” [15 cm] long. Taking 2 strands tog, knot fringe onto every purl ‘bump’ on RS of front of pillow. Trim fringe evenly.
