FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Depth = 25" (63.5 cm) and Width = 72½" [184.15 cm]

GAUGE: 18 sts and 32 rows = 4" [10.16 cm]; save time and check your gauge

NOTES: There are 2 charts to follow while knitting this shawl on page 2 of the pattern.

STITCH EXPLANATION(S):

  • CDD (Central Double Decrease): Slip 2 sts together as if to K, K1, pass both slipped sts over K st
  • SSK (Slip, Slip, Knit): Slip Next 2 Sts Individually Knitwise, Slip Them Back To Left Needle In This Position, Knit Them Together Through The Back Loops (1 St Dec’d)
Step 2

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cast on 19 sts – 3 border sts, 13 sts for main panel, 3 border sts.
Work Rows 1-18 of Chart A – 32 sts inc’d; 51 sts.
Work Rows 1-16 of Chart B – 32 sts inc’d; 83 sts.
Repeat Rows 1-16 of Chart B, 9 more times – 288 sts inc’d; 371 sts.
Bind off loosely.

FINISHING

Weave in ends. Block firmly.
