paper tube advent calendar
| Step 1 |
Collect enough recycled paper tubes to make 25 2" [5 cm] smaller tubes. Cut down the tubes to size. |
| Step 2 |
Paint 17 of the tubes green and eight of the tubes red. Let dry. |
| Step 3 |
Cut 17 pieces of green tissue paper and eight pieces of red tissue paper 4" x 4" [10 cm x 10 cm]. Set aside. |
| Step 4 |
Cut down a piece of foam board to 16" x 18" [40.6 cm x 45.7 cm] and cover it with wrapping paper. |
| Step 5 |
Lay the wrapped foam board on your work surface and arrange the tubes in the shape of a wreath. When you are happy with the arrangement, hot glue the tubes to the wrapped board. |
| Step 6 |
Now, insert a piece of candy or small gift into each tube. |
| Step 7 |
Cover each tube with a coordinating tissue paper, wrap it down the side of the tube and secure it onto the tube with a rubber band. |
| Step 8 |
Punch out 25 circles from white cardstock and use the marker to write the numbers 1-25 on each circle. |
| Step 9 |
Adhere one circle to each tube. |
| Step 10 |
Make a bow to add to the top of the wreath using wired ribbon. Use hot glue to adhere it in place. |
