Print Project
kids christmas peppermint necklace
Step 1 |
Measure and cut 10" - 12" [25.4 cm - 30.5 cm] of stretchy cord and two 24" [61 cm] of red cord. Set one of the red cords aside. |
Step 2 |
Fold the red cord in half to find mid-point and tie one end of the stretchy cord to the fold. Place a dab of glue onto the knot. |
Step 3 |
Plan the bead pattern you would like to add to the stretch cord with the peppermint charm in the middle, then thread them onto the cord. |
Step 4 |
Repeat Step 2 with the second red cord, set aside in Step 1, and the other end of the stretchy cord. |
Step 5 |
ADULT: To make the sliding knot, arrange the ends of red cords so they overlap, and your necklace is in a circle. With the end of the cord overlapping to the left, tie an overhand knot around the overlapped cord. Turn around and repeat with the other side. |
Step 6 |
Tie knots in the ends of the excess cord that hangs past the sliding knots. |
