MEASUREMENTS: Approx 58” [147 cm] wide x 62” [157.5 cm] long
GAUGE: 7 sts and 14 rows = 4” [10 cm] in garter st
Each shell measures approx 18” [45.5 cm] at widest point and 10” [25.5 cm] tall.
NOTES:
- To begin working with the O’Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O’Go meet.
- Pull tie to remove.
- For this pattern, shades can be easily separated by gently pulling apart and cutting at the transition.
- Use separated shades from O’Go (contrast A, B, C) as indicated in materials section.
- Blanket is worked by picking up sts from previous row and building upon it.
- When picking up sts, be sure to pick them up loosely to prevent puckering.

INSTRUCTIONS:
SECTION 1
Beg Shell: With C, cast on 40 sts.
**1st Row: (WS). Knit.
2nd Row: K1. K2tog. Knit to last 3 sts. ssk. K1. 38 sts.
Rep last 2 rows to 4 sts.
Next Row: K2tog. ssk.
Next Row: Sl1. K1. psso. Fasten off.**
SECTION 2
1st Shell: (RS). With B, pick up and knit 20 sts (1 st per garter st ‘bump’) down left side edge of beg shell. Using cable cast-on method here and throughout, cast on 20 sts. 40 sts.
Work from ** to ** as given for beg shell.
2nd Shell: (RS). With B, cast on 20 sts. Pick up and knit 20 sts up right side edge of shell from prev section, from bottom to top. 40 sts.
Work from ** to ** as given for beg shell.
SECTION 3
1st Shell: (RS). With A, pick up and knit 20 sts (1 st in each garter st ‘bump’) down left side edge of first shell of prev section. Cast on 20 sts. 40 sts.
Work from ** to ** as given for beg shell.
2nd Shell: (RS). With A, pick up and knit 20 sts down left side edge of second shell of prev section. Pick up and knit 20 sts up right side edge of first shell of prev section. 40 sts.
Work from ** to ** as given for beg shell.
3rd Shell: (RS). With A, cast on 20 sts. Pick up and knit 20 sts up right side edge of second shell from prev section. 40 sts.
