Step 1

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: About 27" [68.5 cm] at longest and 64" [162.5 cm] at widest
GAUGE: 20 sts = about 4" [10 cm] in Garter st (k every st on every row); be sure to check your gauge
STITCH EXPLANATION:
- KFB (Knit in Front and Back): Knit next st without removing it from left needle, then knit through back of same stitch (1 st increased).
NOTES:
- Shawl is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows, from lower point upwards.
- Increases are worked at beginning of every row to shape shawl.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the stitches. Work back and forth on the circular needle as if working on straight needles.

Step 2

SHAWL:
Cast on 3 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Kfb, knit to end of row (4 sts).
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures about 27" [68.5 cm] from beginning or until only enough yarn remains to bind off.
Bind off.
FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
